Well, except the cat drinking the tree water everyday.. Here’s how I did it!.

I use this same wreath every year because it’s pretty much the greatest wreath ever.It was one of the decorations from my work a few years ago which I took home at the end of the season.

How lucky am I?.We pinned up some dollar store garlands left over from last year and tied a little piece of red ribbon on our Mason Jar light..This is my Spring wreath, which became my Fall wreath, which is now another Christmas wreath..

I kept my $7 lanterns and my stools from the Fall mud room and just filled them with various Christmas bits and bobs.. A dollar store Christmas tree, dollar store ribbon, and left over burlap and pine cones. You can see just a bit of the hand painted sign I made last year when I seemed to have a bit more time on my hands.. How nice will it be when we have the wood floors one day?.

Kennedy decorated under the windows with whatever she felt like from the Christmas boxes.. Yup, that’s Dora!.

I really haven’t bought much new this year at all in the way of Christmas decorations, but having a new (old) house to play around in has made all my leftover stuff from past years feel brand new.. More Christmas fun to come soon!Have you been outside to play today?.It’s about seeing how much you can get done in 15 minutes, but also how much you can get done when you develop a habit and use it 365 days a year.

So that means gardening isn’t just for Spring and Summer, it’s for taking care of a lot of the clean up in the Fall and Winter too, so that when the warm weather hits, you don’t just throw in the towel because you think you’re so far behind..I wanted to share with you some of the kinds of things I’m finding to take care of right now that make me feel a whole lot more capable when it comes to dealing with all this space we have out here.. First of all, leaves are almost always a big part of Fall clean up.

If we really had to rake all of our leaves, we’d be doomed.I was worried about this last year, but we soon discovered that they all blow out into the fields, so we just enjoy them while they’re here..
